What is the age of people travelling on your tours?

50 years plus

What is the maximum group size?

14.  However, some of our tours are less than this

Are your tours escorted?

Yes.  All of our tours are escorted from Auckland to Auckland.  Our host will be with you throughout the tour making sure everything runs smoothly.  We also have a local tour guide in each place

What standard of hotel do you use on your tours?

We use high quality 4 star hotels in very good locations.  On occasion it may be necessary to use a 3 star hotel due the locality.  On our Adventure tours different standards of accommodation are used in order to get an authentic experience

If I have a single room will it be a very small room?

No. It will be a double room for single occupancy

What if I don't live in Auckland?

No problem.  We can arrange flights to/from Auckland to connect with the tour

Can I do my own thing before or after the tour?

Yes.  We would prefer everyone travels over together but this is not essential.  We can book any additional or alternate arrangements

How fit do I need to be?

All our tours have a reasonable amount of walking involved, some on uneven pavements and some with uphill walks and stairs so a reasonable level of fitness is required

When do I need to book?

We recommend booking as early as possible.  As our tours are small this guarantees your space on the tour.  A deposit of  $3,500 per person is required upon booking plus a booking form are required.  See "Booking Info" for more information

Do you ever cancel a tour?

This may sometimes be necessary due to insufficient numbers.  This would be advised  at least 3 months prior to departure and a full refund of deposit given

Are your tours subject to curreny fluctuation?

No.  We guarantee our prices will not change

What are your payment methods?

Costs are based on paying by cash, cheque or bank deposit.  If you would prefer to pay by credit card an additional cost of 2% would apply for Visa or Mastercard and 3% for American Express, Diners and Q Card.

Will I meet the other tour members prior to departure?

Yes.  We have a get together prior to departure and these are held in Auckland.  If you would like help in arranging flights to Auckland we can do this.  We would pick you up and drop you back to Auckland Airport

Do I need a passport?

Yes.  You require a New Zealand passport with at least 6 months validity.  Tracey will advise if any visas are required and will help take care of this for you.  For any other type of passport Tracey will advise if any other visas would be required

I am wanting to share a room.  Can I make contact with the person sharing with me?

Yes.  If both people agree we will provide name and phone number details

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes.  This is compulsory on our tours.  We can help take care of this for you

How much luggage can I take?

One suitcase per person plus handbag/cabin luggage.  We recommend travelling as light as possible
